It was one of those days...
A day that started with two somethings that were a little bit different -Jury duty and one freshly clipped Chincilla Persian.
The never-ending jury-duty led to some moments of utter boredom and naturally it was filled trying to get to know fellow jurors. When conversation eventually led to the unusual subject of needle-felting with animal hair I thought I'd mix things up by attempting to make something with Princess's hair. Princess had the finest crimped coat of all our kitties, and her adventuresome spirit often led to matted dread-locks of bur-filled fur. The only way to prevent this was to keep her coat clipped on a regular basis. So, with the help of Tyra and Veronica, the pitifully matted Princess was carefully clipped and I got to work.
The next day I passed my new creations around and all the jurors felt and prodded with awe. When I casually mentioned it was made out of my cat's hair there were some exclamations of horror and -dare I say it- disgust, but all this quickly turned to laughter and curiosity won over.
