Never one to be left out, Batdog enjoyed "assisting" us with our costume selections, pilfering more than one super-caped sock and stashing them around the yard.
Some of you have been curious as to what we do when we're not painting signs, so we would like to share a few photos from our latest adventure. Longtime friends, the Walker family has joined us on many adventures throughout the Pacific Northwest, and with many July birthdays back to back between the two families we were invited to have a grand day out and go to the Great Inflatable Race. We had never heard of such a race, but its name sounded like it was just the sort of event we would run in costume. So, we told the Walkers we should all go to go in costume -but we couldn't know what each other's theme was. So we set to brainstorming costumes of our own, deciding to surprise each other when we showed up on race day. Ironically, we all showed up as superheros! Our two teams morphed into one team and we set to the course, capes flying as we dove, wove, clambered, and slid through three inflatable-garnished miles of beautiful Lake Sammamish State Park. Check out the slideshow below, and be sure to visit the Great Inflatable Race for more pictures and information on upcoming events!
